Book a sports field
Play your favourite game on one of our many grounds.
At least $7.50 – you will be invoiced for any sports field hire fees and lighting fees payable.
Project Status: When you need to do this
Bookings are required for any sport, training or fitness activities conducted on a City of Sydney sports field or oval.
Public recreational use of park spaces that are not sports fields or ovals generally do not need to be reserved or approved for unorganised sport.
What you need to do

Determine your booking type
Bookings will fall into one of these categories:
- Casual: for occasional or one-off use
- Seasonal: for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks or fortnights over the summer or winter sports seasons.

Lodge the form
You can lodge the form by email, mail or in person at one of our customer or neighbourhood service centres.
After you finish
You’ll hear from a member of our team regarding your application. If the sports field you've applied for is available and suitable, you’ll receive an invoice for any fees payable.
Once fees have been paid, you’ll receive written approval to proceed with your booking.
