Your City at Copenhagen

Leaders of the world will gather in Copenhagen Denmark from 7-18 December to negotiate a new climate change agreement aimed at setting crucially needed higher greenhouse gas emission abatement targets.

A summit of the Mayors of major Australian cities, including Sydney and Melbourne, will also be meeting to apply pressure for strong leadership on global warming.

It is vital our leaders realise that not only do cities have the biggest impact on our environment, but that cities can make the most difference when it comes to emission reduction. The capital cities are working together to ensure we deliver key climate change initiatives at a local level.
