Eora Journey

To celebrate Indigenous culture, Eora Journey is a celebration of the story of Indigenous life in Sydney. The City will be consulting with the Indigenous community to develop a walking trail which will include a Cultural Centre, murals, artworks, messages and prose revealing stories of places with Indigenous importance.

Cultural Ribbon

Project

Cultural Ribbon

The Sustainable Sydney 2030 Vision recognises the arts to the City’s life and identity. This project is for a ‘cultural trail’ linking iconic and culturally significant landmarks along the foreshore . The City will work with arts organisations to develop the trail.

Supporting our artistic and creative community

Supporting our artistic and creative community

The arts play a vital role in our lives and the City works in a myriad of ways to support its artistic and cultural community.

In response to a critical shortage of creative workspaces the City is planning for artist studio and exhibition spaces. We provide grants through our Cultural Grants and Sponsorship Program. We are also restoring community buildings for use as theatre and arts spaces, such as our restoration of Burton Street Tabernacle.
