Cycling
New cycle lanes are making cycling safer and more enjoyable in the city.
Cycling, along with walking and public transport, plays an important role in creating a greener, more attractive and more liveable city. The City of Sydney wants to make it easier and safer to cycle on the city's streets and so has adopted a ten year cycle strategy. This plan includes building up to 55 kilometres of separated cycleways and more shared paths. It also includes activity to encourage more people to see cycling as a natural part of their and their families' everyday transport.
