Bike Parking
The City is improving facilities for cyclists in and around the city and encourages people to hop on their bikes and enjoy the benefits of cycling.
Parking rings
There are approximately 1000 bike parking rings installed to the base of street lighting poles & traffic sign poles across the City of Sydney Local Government Area.
Bicycle Parking Request Form
The City is building cycleways and new bicycle parking in and around the city to encourage more people to hop on a bike and enjoy the benefits of cycling.
To make a request for bike parking at a specific location, please complete this form.
U-rail parking
Free u-rail pavement bike parking (see picture below) is available at the following CBD locations:
- Town Hall, on the Druitt Street side of the building
Clarence Street, east-side between King and Barracks Streets - Watson Road, just north of Upper Fort Street
- Castlereagh Street, west side, south of Bathurst Street
- Cook + Phillip Park, adjacent to the aquatic and fitness centre.
Parking Stations
There is also bike parking available in the Goulburn Street Parking Station. There are five bike cages available for free use (you need to bring your own chain or padlock to secure your bike). The bike parking in the cages is available on a "first in, first served" basis. Up to a $2.00 flat rate applies. Refer to the car park's schedule of rates.
