Bike Maintenance for Beginners Course

The Bike Maintenance for Beginners course is a free course available to any individual over 18 years old who wants to learn basic bike maintenance. The course aims to equip each person with the skills and knowledge to have a well maintained bike so that they can cycle safely and reliably.

Course Details

Course duration: approximately 2 hours 45 minutes
Course size: maximum 8 people per course

Course Structure:

  1. Getting to know your bike (including fit and adjustment)
  2. Fun with flats (installing and removing tyres and tubes as well as repairing punctures)
  3. Preventative maintenance

Location

The Bike Maintenance for Beginners course is run from the CARES Facility in Sydney Park. The CARES Facility is located on Sydney Park Road, close to the intersection of Mitchell and Sydney Park Roads. More information about the CARES Facility can be found here.

Parking

There is a public car park close to the intersection of Mitchell and Sydney Park Roads.

Public Transport

St Peters station (the Bankstown line) is a five minute ride on a shared path along the northern perimeter of Sydney Park.
