Motorcycle and scooter ownership and use is growing rapidly in metropolitan Sydney, and in the City of Sydney. Motorcycles are an enjoyable, fuel-efficient and low cost alternative to private vehicle use.
To address problems faced by motorcycle riders, the City has developed a draft Motorcycle and Scooter Strategy and Action Plan. The plan is now on public exhibition for six weeks until Monday 22 September 2008.
Motorcyle Parking Locations
Over the past twelve months, the City has substantially increased motorcycle parking space in the CBD and surrounding neighbourhoods. The City will continue to investigate new locations for motorcycle parking, including those suggested by riders.
