Consultancy Services - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Mapping

City of Sydney acknowledges Aboriginal people as the first people of Australia; it recognises Sydney's Aboriginal culture and heritage and is deeply committed to establishing a process of reconciliation in partnership with its Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

City of Sydney invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced people or organisations for Literature Review Consultancy Services.

The applicant will be required to provide City of Sydney with professional historical research and analysis by way of a literature review that identifies and culturally maps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sites of significance within the City of Sydney local government area, and make recommendations as to further avenues of research. The applicant will be required to implement a mentoring or training program associated with the project for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Applicants are required to demonstrate their capacity, proposed program and technical capability for providing the services within the required timeframe and their previous experience.

For further enquiries and a copy of the Application Documentation please contact Lisa Murray, Acting City Historian, on 9265 9333 or email: lamurray@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au

Applications close 11am Friday, 30 October 2009.
