Short Black Films is an initiative of the Redfern-Waterloo Community Safety Plan which aims to give young Indigenous actors and the local community the opportunity to make their own short films.

The program was launched with three films in July 2005 and screenings have also taken place during Youth Week in March this year.

Two films are currently in the production stage with a view to screening during NAIDOC Week at 6pm on 12th July at the Redfern Community Centre.
