Talking Shop Seminar Series

As part of its commitment to the Sydney business community, and the retail sector in particular, the Lord Mayor, Clover Moore MP will hold two seminars this year, on Tuesday 15 May and Monday 6 August 2012.

Designed to continue our meaningful conversation with retailers across the city and to provide valuable intelligence to help you grow your business, these sessions are a great chance for Sydney retail businesses, large or small, to come together for a dynamic and inspiring event aimed at making Sydney a world class retail destination.

The seminars address hot-topic issues facing retailers such as :

  • Retail trends
  • Best practice case studies from other global cities
  • Tips on how retailers can keep on evolving their businesses
  • An update on major events in Sydney
  • Special keynote speakers.

Next seminars

Our next seminar on Tuesday 15 May 2012 features keynote speaker, Matt Newell, one of Australia's leading retail marketing strategists, who will highlight how recent advancements in neuroscience will fundamentally change the way we approach retail marketing. By demonstrating how the brain functions during the decision-making process, this intriguing presentation will outline new and innovative ways to create loyalty for your brand.

The Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP will also be joined by speakers from the event organisers for Vogue Fashion Night Out and Vivid Sydney 2012, who will detail how your business can get involved and benefit from some of Sydney's unique events in the upcoming months.
