NSW Police Requirements for Filming & Photography
You must make applications for required police permits directly to the NSW Police and you must obtain NSW Police approval for any filming taking place on public lands.
Issues that must be discussed and approved by the NSW Police prior to commencing filming include: traffic control, the use of “user pays” police personnel, and coordination of activities that may be occurring in the area during the same time as you to film, for example, special events, parades or demonstrations.
