Road Closure Applications

The City of Sydney allows for temporary, full or partial road closure for events, parades, marches and construction work.

The City will only consider any proposed road closure to occur on Sundays only due to the need to minimise traffic congestion in the city on other days.

Events/Parades/Marches

The City provides four preferred routes (A, B, C1, C2 and D) that have been proven successful. The use of one of this routes would also require less planning for a proper traffic management plan that is to be provided by the applicant. You can download the City's preferred parade route maps as PDF documents.
