General Information
The Electrical Lighting Technicians and Audio Visual Engineers will endeavour to satisfy hirer’s requirements as far as possible at all times.
However, your cooperation is requested in supplying as much information about your production and the desired lighting/audio effects you require to make your presentation as successful as possible.
The earlier your requirements are provided to us, the easier it will be for the Technical Staff to cater for your requirements and clarify any matters with you.
The operation of the Lighting Desk/Sound Desk and Follow Spots are always carried out by the Town Hall Technicians/Engineers, however, we welcome the opportunity to work in tandem with operators and designers provided by the hirer.
The Town Hall has a limited stock of colour filters however every effort will be made to comply with your requirements. It is requested that where specific special, colour filters are required the hirer, lighting designer provides their own filter medium.
The Lighting Control Room/Audio Control Room and Follow Spot Room are on the in-house talkback system and it is preferable if all lighting cues are called by your Stage Manager.
It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that any curtains, back-drops or other stage dressings used in association with your production complies with the Theatre’s and Public Halls (General) Regulations 1977, Part III, Division 2- Fire Safety and Fire Resistance, Clause 38, subclause (6).
Please note, if significant changes to the standard lighting rig are required, costs may be incurred for the labour involved.
