The 15th Mardi Gras Film Festival, bringing Sydney the best international queer cinema, celebrates Chinese New Year with two award-winning Chinese films.

Spider Lilies (Taiwan 2007, directed by Zero Chou) tells the story of Jade, trying to rekindle memories of her lost love. Winner, Teddy Award for Features, Berlin Film Festival 2007.

Solos (Singapore 2007, directed by Zihan Loo and Kan Lume) shows a mother, her son and his partner struggling to define their feelings towards each other.
