Restoration Works 2010

Glebe Town Hall will undergo a major restoration beginning in the second half of 2010 to ensure this treasured building is an accessible and welcoming community venue for the future.

This indoor auditorium features courts suitable for basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball and netball and a sprung floor ideal for ballroom dancing, dance, physical theatre and rehearsals. The auditorium is also used for a diverse range of community activities such as tai chi.

Situated in a prime location next to Glebe Library, this venue is suitable for meetings, gentle exercise groups, rehearsals and small functions. The room is well lit and there are verandahs on both sides of the hall.

70 square metres including an alcove of 14 square metres.

Monday to Friday: 5pm to 12 midnight

The Glebe Incinerator was designed by the renowned architect Walter Burley Griffin.  It was restored and reinterpreted in 2006 and is located on the shores of Blackwattle Bay at the bottom of Forsyth Street, Glebe and offers stunning water views.  The facility offers a small function room suitable for meetings and small functions.

Monday to Saturday: 9:00am to 10.00pm
Sunday: 9.00am and 6.00pm
