Accommodation Grants Program

The City of Sydney’s Accommodation Grants Program supports community organisations that encourage:

  • Community and cultural development;
  • Provide services and programs to the community; and
  • Address priority needs, and broader community needs in the City of Sydney Local Government Area.

Not-for-profit community organisations are offered grants to be located in City owned facilities at affordable rates (below market rent) or at no charge.

Note: the Accommodation Grants Program does not relate to residential properties.
Currently 69 organisations are accommodated across the city, offering a range of services, programs and opportunities to the community.

The Accommodation Grants Program is managed in accord with the Accommodation Grants Program Policy.  The Policy identifies eligibility and performance criteria, and responsibilities.

From time to time new properties become available for community use under this program. On these occasions, the City will call for applications with information posted on this website and advertised in local media. Applicants will be asked to complete the application form, addressing the required criteria.
