Homelessness Information Kit for Volunteers

This online information kit about homelessness and homelessness services for use by volunteers has been developed by the City of Sydney Council (City of Sydney) with funding from the Commonwealth Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FACSIA).

This online kit is divided into three modules:

Module 1 – Homelessness
Includes an overview of some key homelessness issues. It includes definitions of homelessness and challenges some common misconceptions about people who experience homelessness.

Module 2 – Some Homelessness, Health and Community Services in Inner Sydney
Includes information about homelessness and other types of services that might be used by homeless people and which are available in inner Sydney.

Module 3 – Key Issues and Problems that can be Associated with Homelessness
Provides some additional information about some key areas that can be related to homelessness and chronic homelessness.
