Meals on Wheels

City of Sydney Meals on Wheels service

The City of Sydney Meals on Wheels and Food Services team provides more than 5000 meals every month to the City’s residents, delivering nutritious meals to people at home and providing lunches at the City’s Over 55s Centres.

Our Meals on Wheels service is available to frail older residents, residents with a disability, their carers, and to people recovering from recent surgery or a chronic illness.

If you live in the City of Sydney Local Government Area and can’t shop for or prepare a meal for yourself, you may be eligible for the service.

More information

Contact the Meals on Wheels office, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm, 02 8512 4230 or mow@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au

The City of Sydney was the first Council to implement Meals on Wheels in New South Wales in 1957 and the service has been operating continuously ever since. Hear some current and former volunteers’ stories in the History section.
