Fun activities for over 55s
Whether it’s an exercise group or choir, computer class or discussion group, our Over 55 Services and programs are tailored to help you keep enjoying a healthy, active, involved lifestyle, right into retirement and beyond.
For our less active seniors, we also offer a range of support services such as meals, transport, and a home library service to help you to continue living comfortably and independently at home.
Over 55s Centres
The City of Sydney operates a network of centres which all offer a range of activities and cater specifically to residents aged over 55.

GOLD Healthy Active Lifestyle program

Meals on Wheels and food services
The City provides over 5000 home delivered and centre based meals each month to our seniors and residents with a disability.

Podiatry service
Healthy feet are essential to a healthy and active lifestyle. To help you take care of your feet, the City of Sydney offers a low cost Podiatry Clinic for members of our Over 55s Centres.
Plans and policies
The City recently conducted a review of its facilities, services and programs for older people. The Next Generation – A Blueprint for Aged Services & Facilities 2008–2018 is based on current best practice and is guiding our future planning for Over 55 Services.

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Elders
We offer special activities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders who live in the City. Telephone the Redfern Community Centre on 9288 5713 and the Cliff Noble Centre (Alexandria) on 8512 8000 for details.
