Accords With Licensed Premises
Liquor Accords
Liquor Accords are local voluntary liquor industry partnerships which aim to:
- improve the operation of licensed premises,
- promote the responsible service and consumption of alcohol
- prevent or reduce alcohol related harm, violence and anti-social behaviour.
Accords provide a forum for licensees to identify local alcohol related issues and develop responses. Accord membership includes the operators of licensed premises. Accord meeting can be attended by NSW Police, NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR) the City and other community organisations and groups.
Accords have a chair, treasurer and secretary one of which must be a licensee. Membership of accords is voluntary unless OLGR has directed a licensee to join an Accord.
Information and resources for Accords are available from the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing.
