Glebe Youth Service is a non-government youth service dedicated to the recreation and support of young people who live, work, study or play in the Glebe area. Glebe Youth Service targets young people aged 12 to 24 and provides a comfortable, safe and supervised  environment for young people.

The City of Sydney funds the Glebe Youth Service’s After Dark Program that runs from the Peter Forsyth Auditorium on Friday and Glebe Youth Service on a Saturday night providing recreational and educational programs from 7.30pm - 11.30pm including sporting competitions, health activities and movie nights. City of Sydney funds are also used to provide casework support for individuals in need.

Glebe Youth Service generally targets disadvantaged young people living in the Glebe Public Housing Estates. These young people live with a range of issues relating to social and economic disadvantage.

Glebe Youth Services runs many programs for the young people residing in Glebe including;

  • Drop In Centre
  • Pathways Education for Years 7 to 10
  • Casework (advocacy referral and advice)
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Girlzone (program for young women)
  • Boyzone (program for young men)
  • After Dark
  • Film and music production
  • Healthy eating and nutrition.
