Thursday 5 April 2007
6pm to 8pm

Venue

Redfern Community Centre
29-53 Hugo Street, Redfern

Invitation

As part of the $20 million Redfern and Regent Streets upgrade, the City of Sydney asked for expressions of interest from prominent artists to provide a major work of public art.

The proposed sculpture is inspired by the bowerbird which borrows blue objects such as pegs and bottle tops to attract females during his courtship dance.

Our sculpture will borrow its treasures from the experiences and stories of the Redfern community.

Further Information

Come to our workshop with your favourite object and have it photographed and its story recorded.  The best objects will be made into a glass cast and set into the Redfern Street footpath.
