Redfern Pockets Park Renewal - 17 February 2007

Join us to celebrate three renewed green parks in East Redfern.

Invitation

You are invited to a community celebration for the opening of:

  • James Street Reserve
  • Marriott Street Reserve
  • Hansom Cab Place in Young Lane, Redfern.

Join us as we walk through the streets of East Redfern, stopping to enjoy each renewed park before celebrating with an official ceremony and barbecue at Hansom Cab Place.

Key Features of James Street Reserve:

  • Increased open space
  • New lighting
  • New paving, seating and signage
  • New trees and shrubs.

Key Features of Marriott Street Reserve:

  • New lighting
  • Improved pedestrian amenity and visibility
  • New paving, seating and signage
  • New trees and shrubs
  • Increased sun access
  • Large playground installed.

Key Features of Hansom Cab Place:

  • Pedestrian and park safety improved with a low fence
  • New lighting
  • New paving, seating and signage
  • New trees and shrubs
  • Increased sun access
  • New children’s double see-saw and swings.
