Project overview

Victoria Park is a large, busy, open, green space used by local residents, university students, workers from nearby businesses and pool users.

The playground, located on the City Road boundary of the park, is well used.

The City plans to upgrade the playground to complement other high quality community facilities within the park. The aim is to retain Victoria Park’s character while inspiring the imagination of children of all ages and abilities with interesting and stimulating equipment and surrounds.

The following is being considered for inclusion in the playground:

  • all abilities equipment
  • a toddler’s area
  • fencing
  • a flying fox
  • balance beams
  • climbing mounds
  • climbing nets
  • swings

We want your suggestions for design elements and equipment.
