Green Square Town Centre Planning Proposal & Draft Development Control Plan 2011
Please Note: the exhibition period for this item has now closed.
The planning of the Green Square Town Centre has been evolving over a number of years. The current planning controls which include a Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and a Development Control Plan (DCP) have been in place since 2006. This public exhibition is for two separate documents, the Town Centre Planning Proposal and the Draft Town Centre DCP.
Planning Proposal
The Town Centre Planning Proposal on exhibition is for a new LEP – Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2010 (Green Square Town Centre) covering sites 301 Botany Road, 501 Botany Road, 509 Botany Road, 3 Joynton Avenue, 511–515 Botany Road, 97–115 Portman Street, 811 Elizabeth Street, Zetland; 312–318 Botany Road, 324 Botany Road, 318A Botany Road, 6–20 O’Riordan Street and 2A Bourke Road, Alexandria.
The Town Centre Planning Proposal does not include the Landcom and the Green Square Consortium (Mirvac Projects Pty Ltd and Leighton Properties Pty Ltd) sites, which are the subject of a separate Planning Proposal.
The Town Centre Planning Proposal seeks to update the current planning controls for the built form, land use mix and the public domain. It is proposed that these changes will be made into a new Local Environmental Plan (LEP) that will apply only to these sites and is compliant with State Government directions.
The public exhibition of the Planning Proposal is in accordance with section 57 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
