What work was done?

  • Building pedestrian, cyclist and traffic calming (PCTC) works, involving major kerb extensions and raised crossings, at the intersections of Wylde and Grantham Streets, Challis Avenue and Macleay Street, Rockwall Crescent and Macleay Street, Orwell Street and Macleay Street
  • Upgrading footpaths on the west side of Wylde Street, between numbers one and seven, and on the southern side of Orwell Street from Earl Street up to Macleay Street. Please refer to the sketch included with this letter for more detail.

Work began in April 2011 and took about 12 weeks.

These works formed part of the City’s ongoing commitment to high quality public infrastructure.
