Forbes Street, Woolloomooloo improvements

Forbes Street

The City of Sydney is responding to feedback from the Woolloomooloo community who told us they wanted improved safety in Forbes Street.

As part of the Woolloomooloo Improvements Plan we are improving Forbes Street to make it safe, attractive and accessible for everyone to enjoy.

To improve safety on the corner of Forbes and Harmer Streets, we are removing the high planter wall to improve visibility and emergency vehicle access.

We're also laying new pavers and grass, improving landscaping and planting new trees.

Work is due for completion in winter 2010.

The Forbes Street work is part of wider plans to increase safety in Woolloomooloo so the community can enjoy its open spaces and take advantage of the social and recreational opportunities offered by this unique harbourside village.
