City Plan

What is the City Plan?

A new City Plan is being prepared for the City of Sydney.

As a result of the amalgamation of new council areas with City of Sydney Council (South Sydney, Leichhardt and Ultimo Pyrmont) the City now has several different sets of planning controls. Council is reviewing these existing plans in order to develop a comprehensive and consistent City Plan.

The new City Plan will be a package which includes a single Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and Development Control Plan (DCP) and supporting information that will apply to the whole City of Sydney for the whole Local Government Area (LGA).
