Draft Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2011
The draft LEP applies to most of the City of Sydney Local Government Area (LGA) as shown in the Land Application Map within the draft LEP. A Local Environmental Plan is the principal legal document for controlling development and guiding planning decisions made by Council. The draft LEP has been exhibited in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The exhibition of the LEP included the following documents:
An explanatory document is a plain English summary of the LEP clauses and Maps. It includes a Land Use Matrix which summarises the permissible and prohibited uses in each zone.
The draft Green Square Affordable Housing Program is referred to in the draft LEP and is provided for information.
The draft City of Sydney Competitive Design Policy has also been on exhibition. It supports the LEP by establishing the processes an applicant is required to undertake to demonstrate that a proposed development is the result of an architectural design process or a competitive design process.

Please note on the Height of Buildings Map Legend, the height control corresponding to the letter “E” should be 6m.
