Chinese Heritage Study

The Chinese Heritage Study researched the historical and social significance of various sites in the City of Sydney to the Australian Chinese community.

Review of Ultimo/Pyrmont heritage items
Review of existing heritage items and conservation areas within Pyrmont and Ultimo and the preparation of heritage inventory sheets using the State Heritage Inventory format.

Selected Heritage Conservation Areas Study 2006
Review of the existing Heritage Conservation Areas listed below, to prepare or update Contributory maps, undertake further historical research where necessary, upgrade Conservation Area heritage database listing sheets, and review Conservation Area boundaries. Note that where conservation areas were in the past subject to detailed studies, for example, Chippendale, Cooper Street, Martin Road, and Lang Road, this study will simply update contributory mapping and review boundaries.
