Local Action Plans

A Snapshot of Projects: Local Action Plan Strategy 2007-2010.

Local Action Plan and Matching Grants Projects 2008 - 2009.

The Local Action Plans Strategy is a localised short term strategic plan which works with communities to protect and improve the character and amenity of their local villages.

Significant progress on the implementation of the Local Action Plans adopted by Council in 2007 has been made with over 70% of the 415 community requests being completed or ongoing as part of Councils operations.

For a full list of the community requests in each Local Action Plan refer to the website links to each of the 8 Local Action Plans zones, for a summary of the projects refer to “A Snapshot of Projects 2007-2010 booklet” in the downloads section of this webpage.

This strategy complements the City’s ‘Sustainable Sydney 2030’ vision which was adopted in 2008. The Local Action Plans strategy will now align with Sustainable Sydney 2030 through the development of Local Activity Hubs.
