Environmental Management Plan

The City of Sydney Environmental Management Plan (EMP) was endorsed by Council 25 June 2007. The EMP established the environmental vision, targets and actions for Council and the local government area for:

    Envrionmental Management Plan
  • Energy and emissions
  • Water
  • Waste
  • Plants and animals.

There are 53 actions designed to reduce environmental impacts associated with Council and our community through demonstration, advocacy and partnership.

Many of the targets and actions contained within the Environmental Management Plan were subsequently incorporated within Sustainable Sydney 2030, the City's vision for a Green, Global and Connected future.

Status

As of June 2010, all of the 53 actions have been initiated.
