Waste & Recycling Collection

All businesses in the City of Sydney area need to have their own waste contractor to collect and dispose of their rubbish.

The City also strongly recommends that businesses hire their own recycling contractor to collect their recyclables too.

Your Rates

The council rates that businesses pay do not cover waste and recycling collections. Residential properties receive waste and recycling collections because they pay a Waste Services Charge in their rates for this service.

For more information about your business rates call 02 9265 9333 or email council@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au
