Dynamic Learning Online: Online Training Courses
The City of Sydney Library provides access to a range of online computer training courses for several of the most popular computer applications—including Microsoft Office—free of charge! These individual lessons and testing sessions are fully interactive, easy-to-use, allow you to track your progress and are great for beginner to intermediate users.
A City of Sydney Library Card is required to create an account.

Introduction to Computers
This course is designed for adults with no previous computer experience. Become familiar with computers and Microsoft Windows while mastering basic computer, mouse and keyboard skills in a supportive environment.
Introduction to Computers on Macs
This course is designed for adults with no previous computer experience. Become familiar with computers and Mac OS while mastering basic computer, mouse and keyboard skills in a supportive environment. We will be using MacBook Pros, Apple's powerful laptop computer.
Places are limited and may be booked out. However, if you have your own Mac laptop, you can still book!
Internet Basics
Learn to navigate and search the Internet! We will use Internet Explorer to navigate websites and use Google to become good online searchers. Basic mouse/keyboard skills and some experience using a computer are required.

We will learn how to create and edit a document; use the Ribbon (Word 2007’s new way to use menus and toolbars); move text (with cut, copy & paste); and format text, a page and a document. Good mouse, keyboard and computer skills required.

Learn to use Microsoft Excel 2007 to create spreadsheets—an easy way to create budgets, manage lists, or track data. We will learn how to create and edit a spreadsheet; use the Ribbon (Excel 2007’s new way to use menus and toolbars); enter and edit text & numbers; and manipulate columns, rows and cells.
