Library Fees & Charges

Although membership to the City of Sydney Library Network is free to city residents, there are some charges for non-residents and for certain library services.

Processing fee for lost book $15.00
Processing fee for lost periodicals $7.00

Missing Part - Talking Book

Fee For one Missing tape/CD from talking book (ie Missing tape/CD $7.00 = Processing fee $7.00)

Overdue item/Late Fines - per item/per day
(maximum $10.00 per item)

$0.25(no GST on fines)

NB Customers may continue to borrow when they have fines, but must pay off at least $5 per time to continue borrowing. (This does not apply to reservation and lost item charges). Borrowers with overdue items are unable to borrow until all items returned.
