Plan Your night

Planning Tips

  • Plan ahead to know where you are going and how you will get there.
  • Leave glass at home and use recycled reusable containers instead.
  • Check the Vantage Points map for where to go.
  • No BYO ALCOHOL and NO GLASS applies to many sites, be sure you are aware what restrictions apply where.
  • Temporary Alcohol Free Zones may be in place, so please keep informed of where they are on the night.
  • Take public transport, walk or cycle on the night.
  • Be aware of road closures and traffic changes.
  • Allow extra time for travel.
  • Use sunscreen and wear a hat and dress for the weather.
  • Eat well and drink plenty of water.
  • Look after your mates and make a meeting place incase you get separated.
  • Remember that Sydney New Year's Eve is for everyone, so be mindful of those around you and have a great time!
