There are many fantastic locations in which to enjoy the Sydney New Year's Eve celebrations. Various sites have different facilities onsite and restrictions.

The website will be updated closer to the event with helpful information on where to go and site restrictions.

 

Plan Your night

Vantage Points

The world-famous fireworks displays can be seen all the way from Gladesville Bridge to the Heads of Sydney Harbour. The Vantage Points map will be updated closer to the event and provides a reference for all the key vantage points and outlines facilities at each site.

City of Sydney Vantage Points

City of Sydney offer a number of vantage points for the enjoyment of Sydney New Year’s Eve outside the CBD. Head to either Bicentennial Park - Glebe or Pyrmont Point Park - Pyrmont for great views of the fireworks displays. The NO GLASS policy is strictly enforced at these two sites and NO ALCOHOL is permitted at Pyrmont Point Park.  Public transport is available to and from both sites.

Managed Access Sites

For the safety, comfort and enjoyment of everyone, there are a number of key vantage points around the CBD foreshore and on the north side of the Harbour will be managed access areas. 

Sites include: Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, Tarpeian Precinct, Mrs Macquaries Point, Dawes Point in The Rocks, Embarkation Park in Kings Cross, Darling Harbour, Bradfield Park at Milson’s Point and Blues Point Reserve at McMahon’s Point. Full details about access and restrictions to these sites will be available closer to the event.

Temporary Alcohol Free Zone for New Year’s Eve Celebrations
