Community Gardens Policy

The City of Sydney recognises community gardening as a valuable recreational activity that contributes to the health and well-being of the wider community and provides a wide range of environmental, social and educational benefits.

The Community Gardens Policy outlines the benefits of community gardens, the support provided to community gardens by the City, the rights and responsibilities of community gardeners and the process for establishing new gardens. All exisiting and new community gardens in the City of Sydney are encouraged to read this Policy.
