Hyde Park

A leafy oasis in the CBD, Hyde Park has been a favourite Sydney recreation area since 1792. The park began its life as the city’s first racecourse and later became its first cricket ground. Today, Hyde Park provides a tranquil setting for general relaxation and lunchtime picnics. An avenue of giant fig trees run through the middle of the park from north to south.
