Located opposite Hyde Park off Elizabeth Street, Cook & Phillip Park provides diverse opportunities for active and passive recreation in central Sydney.

A network of creative water features including water stairs, water falls, weeping stones and fountains run through the park linking the various hard and soft landscape sections of the park. The park’s extensive grass terraces and seating areas equipped with water bubblers are popular attraction for picnickers, fitness enthusiasts and dog walkers. The grass terraces are off-leash areas at all times.

A pedestrian footbridge links the park with the neighboring Botanic Gardens and Domain and parklands. Various community events are staged on the paved park forecourt throughout the year including a weekly organic food market. A vegetarian restaurant and underground car parking are located within the park beneath the forecourt.

A children’s play area featuring traditional and adventure play equipment, a basketball court and public art installations are located in an enclosed section of the park located off Yurrong Street, Woolloomooloo.

The park hosts an indoor Aquatic Centre equipped with an eight lane 50m swimming pool, leisure pools with wave machines, and a hydrotherapy pool. The facility also sports a fully equipped fitness gym and a multipurpose court suitable for basketball and netball.
