Newtown’s picturesque Hollis Park surrounded by avenues lined with mature Moreton Bay Figs and grand Victorian terrace houses is popular local spot for family activities and dog walking.
The extensive grass lawns are popular for picnics and relaxation and dogs are permitted to be exercised off-leash between the hours of 6pm and 8am daily. The park contains a granite obelisk and features attractive sandstone walls and steps.
The enclosed and shaded playground includes a wide range of traditional play equipment for children of all ages including swings, rockers, climbing frames and a rocking boat.
