Tumbalong Park and Chinese Garden of Friendship

Tumbalong Park, controlled by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, consists of 5 hectares of public open space located within the Darling Harbour Precinct. The park contains an extensive network of ornate water features, native and exotic shrub beds and a central grassed amphitheatre which hosts a wide variety of community events throughout the year. A children’s playground featuring various adventure play and climbing apparatus is popular spot for families and children throughout the year.

The park is well serviced by a network of public toilets and a wide variety of cafes and restaurants are located around the park periphery.

The Chinese Garden of Friendship located within Tumbalong Park was designed and built by Chinese Landscape architects and gardeners in liaison with the local Chinese Community. Visitors are required to pay an entry fee to enjoy the picturesque ornate water gardens replete with ornamental bridges, pagodas and miniature mountain. A tea gardens is located within the Gardens.
