Event Submission Criteria
To be listed, events must:
- occur at a venue or location within the City of Sydney boundary. (View City of Sydney Suburbs List)
- be open to the general public
- have broad appeal for people from the City's Community as well as visitors to our area
- be expected to attract at least 200 people
- be submitted by the event organiser or authorised agent
- be annual, one-off, or special events
- be specific, finalised and confirmed prior to submission (Events with dates to be announced, undetermined locations, etc. cannot be listed.)
Please note:
- Events likely to receive favourable consideration are fairs, festivals, annual events, and exhibits.
- Events that will undergo careful review for broad appeal before being accepted include fundraisers, charity functions, trade shows, preliminary competitions, etc.
- Normal attraction schedules with phrases such as "tours every weekend," "open over Easter," "simulcasting," or "races nightly" will not be accepted.
- Amusement areas and other seasonal attractions will not be accepted.
- The City of Sydney is not obliged to list events submitted here and reserves the right to edit or decline any event.
- Incomplete forms will not be considered.
