Martin Place Children's Christmas Concert & Tree Lighting

City of Sydney's Christmas celebrations begin with our ever-popular and iconic Children's Christmas Concert and lighting of the City's largest Christmas Tree, an impressive 21-metre tall traditional tree in Martin Place.

Join us for an evening of entertainment including MC Wendy Harmer, Justine Clarke, Koala Brothers, Monica Trapaga and the Australian Girls Choir with a very special guest and don't miss Santa arriving on his sleigh!

Christmas on the Green

Enjoy Christmas amid the luscious green surroundings of Hyde Park North, where all the excitement of the Martin Place Christmas Concert will be live on a big screen.

Join MC's Johnny and Liesel and catch the live performances by Bananas In Pyjamas, carols by St Mary's Cathedral College Choir and also Santa arriving on his sleigh!

Christmas Projections

Experience the spirit of a truly Australian Christmas with festive projections depicting the 12 Days of Sydney Christmas on the facade of the iconic Sydney Town Hall. Macquarie Street will also light up with projections on Sydney's oldest and most cherished buildings. Watch the City transform into a Christmas wonderland at the free nightly slide show!

When: 8.30pm to 1.00am every night
Where: Sydney Town Hall, George Street and Macquarie Street 

Village Family Christmas Concerts

City of Sydney is holding four free Village Christmas Concerts for families. Pack a rug and a picnic and join hosts Johnny and Liesel for live bands, Christmas carols by Sorelle, great children's performers and to top things off Santa will be dropping by, spreading the Christmas cheer.

When: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Where: Saturday 28 November - Elizabeth Bay; Sunday 29 November - Rosebery; Saturday 5 December - Alexandria and Sunday 6 December - Surry Hills.
