Wynard Lane

The City is building a safe, convenient and sustainable 200 kilometre cycle network to reduce road congestion, cut emissions and improve public health. We have designed the network to improve connections between employment, recreation and residential destinations to make cycling an attractive transport choice.

Wynyard Lane is being considered for a contra-flow bicycle lane. A contra-flow bicycle lane improves safety for bicycle riders travelling in the opposite direction to vehicles by providing them with dedicated space on the road.

The City will provide residents and businesses with ongoing updates on all cycleway projects and the broader bicycle network.
