Cycleways

Angel Street, Newtown

The City has developed concept designs to narrow the existing concrete traffic island on Angel Street near the intersection with King Street to provide a safe and convenient passage for bike riders from King Street to Angel Street.

The concept plans propose painted line markings on each side of the new passageway to direct cyclists and bike logos painted on the road.

These changes will not affect the footpath and there will be no loss of parking. We will work to minimise any traffic disruptions during installation.

The City will provide residents and businesses with ongoing updates on all cycleway projects and the broader bicycle network.
