Have your say on light rail
Business forums in your area
Transport for NSW is establishing 5 business forums for the planned $1.6 billion CBD and South East Light Rail line.
Representatives from local businesses are invited to become members to keep up to date with information and provide input during construction. Starting in late 2014, the light rail project will take up to 6 years to complete.
The 12km extension of the Sydney light rail network will deliver major economic benefits for Sydney. With peak hour trams every 2 minutes, it will provide an efficient, environmentally-friendly public transport service from Circular Quay to Kingsford and Randwick via Surry Hills and Moore Park. The route was selected following extensive feasibility investigations and consultation with key stakeholders.
Transport for NSW will work with the City of Sydney and Randwick City Council to mitigate any impact or loss of trade during construction. The route and construction delivery are being designed to maintain access to all properties.
If you operate a business along the route, you can attend an information evening or business forum in the city centre, Surry Hills, Moore Park, Randwick or Kingsford/Kensington. Visit Sydney Light Rail, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1800 684 490.
