Paddington Town Hall
High point
Built in the late 1800s the impressive Paddington Town Hall sits at the highest point on the Oxford Street ridge. Next to the Victoria Barracks the Town Hall has a 32-metre high clock tower, which was completed in 1905 to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII, dominating the Paddington skyline.
Paddington Town Hall is less than 5 kilometres from central Sydney and a magnificent setting for a wide variety of events. The function space, the Stapleton Hall, is situated on level 1 and accessible by a lift and stairs.
The Stapleton Hall
The Stapleton Hall is an open-plan space with a 9-metre high ceiling, polished timber floor and superb acoustics. It offers guests unobstructed views from all angles making it ideal for gala dinners, wedding receptions, concerts and product launches.
The main room is complemented by an elegant foyer/reception area with bar facilities and a spacious balcony that runs the length of the building and overlooks Oxford Street. It also boasts a large commercial kitchen, green room and backstage facilities. Lighting truss, an elevated working platform and external banner rigging points are also included with venue hire.

Capacity
Featuring a gracious entrance, 9-metre high ornate ceiling, art deco finishes and expansive polished floor, the Stapleton Hall can accomodate up to 500 guest banquet style and up to 750 cocktail style. The table below provides more details on capacity.

Catering
Paddington Town Hall has an open catering policy to all Gold Licence caterers registered with Restaurant and Catering NSW. A list of gold licensed caterers can be obtained by calling the venue management on 02 9265 9189.
An appropriate liquor licence is required to sell and/or serve alcohol at Paddington Town Hall. The responsibility for the appropriate delivery, storage and service of alcohol during events held in the venue rests at all times with the holder of the liquor licence.
