Food premises, beauty salons and hairdressers, as well as other businesses that offer activities regulated by public health laws, must notify the City of Sydney if they:
- close down/stop trading
- move to new premises
- open another business
- sell to a new proprietor
- change their trading name.
Activities regulated by public health laws include:
- skin penetration (body piercers, tattooists, acupuncturists)
- shared accommodation (hotels, hostels)
- swimming (any business that has a public pool or spa)
To notify us, please use the new premises registration and change of existing registration form below. Once you have completed the form, you can submit it to the City by post, fax or in person at the Kings Cross, Glebe, Green Square or Redfern Neighbourhood Service Centres or the One Stop Shop at Town Hall House.
A City staff member may contact you if we require more information about your notification. Please note that a fee is payable for some notifications.
