After-school and vacation care
When school's out
We run 6 after-school and vacation care programs for primary school children aged 5 to 12 years in Pyrmont, Surry Hills*, Redfern, The Rocks (KGV), Ultimo and Woolloomooloo. Our children's programs differ slightly from each another but most include activities such as:
- arts and crafts
- games
- gardening and cooking
- homework groups
- music and dance
- sport and fitness.
If you are considering enrolling your child into a program for the first time, we recommend contacting the team leader to have a chat. Alternatively, you can download a waiting list application below and send it to us now.
The programs at Redfern, Surry Hills and Woolloomooloo operate a 'drop-in' system for children who are enrolled. Please note certain access criteria needs to be met before your child's enrolment can be confirmed. To find out more, contact the team leader directly.

* The Surry Hills vacation care program is run by the Girls and Boys Brigade.
For our programs at Pyrmont, Ultimo and The Rocks (KGV), priority placement is given to City of Sydney residents and workers needing care for their children due to work or study commitments, or to people from disadvantaged groups. If you would like to know more please get in touch with the team leader at your nearest program.
Fees
Fees generally do not apply at Surry Hills, Redfern or Woolloomooloo, except for some activities and excursions during school holidays*. The Surry Hills holiday program is now run by the Girls and Boys Brigade.
For our programs at Pyrmont, Ultimo and The Rocks (KGV), after-school care costs $16.50 per day and holiday care is $38.50 per day, excluding excursion costs*. The child care benefit is available to help with these costs.
* School holiday excursions and some special activities may cost from $5 to $30.
